Spatial Connections between Microplastics and Heavy Metal Pollution within Floodplain Soils

چکیده
Soils contain an increasing number of different pollutants, which are often released into the environment by human activity. Among “new” potential pollutants plastics and microplastics. “Recognized” such as heavy metals, geogenic anthropogenic origin, now meet purely contaminants plastic particles. Those can especially in floodplain landscapes soils, because their function a temporary sink for sediments, nutrients, pollutants. Based on geospatial sampling approach, we analyzed soil properties metal contents (ICP-MS) material macroplastic particles, calculated total concentrations (Ptot) from preliminary studies. data were used to investigate spatial connections between both groups Our results example Lahn river catchment show low-to-moderate contamination soils with metals wide distribution up depth two meters. Furthermore, able document Spatial statistical correlations found. mainly expressed comparable variability across common accumulation topsoil upper or sediment layers (0–50 cm). The indicate deposition conditions system.

Health and Ecological Risk Assessment of Heavy Metal Pollution in Esfarayen Surface Soils
Introduction: Due to the continued urbanization and industrialization in most parts of the world, metals are constantly being introduced into the soil environment and posing a major threat to human health. The purpose of this study was to investigate the contamination of Esfarayen surface soils with heavy metals and its hazards to human health. Methods: Surface soil samples were collected from ...

Spatial Prediction of Heavy Metal Pollution for Soils in Coimbatore, India based on universal kriging
Industrialization and urbanization taking place at faster rate in Coimbatore city. Hence the discharge rate of industry effluents and wastes are increasing at alarming rate. These effluents and wastes are being discharged randomly on soil, river, lake and road side without any treatment. They pollute productive soil, natural water system as well as ground water. Assessment of heavy metal conten...
متن کاملSpatial distribution and degree of heavy metal pollution in urban roadside dusts from Sanandaj, Iran
Industrial activities and high traffic density are the most important heavy metal pollution sources in urban areas. Roadside dust created by atmospheric deposition can be one of the best indicators for heavy metal contamination levels. The present study reports the spatial distribution patterns and degree of heavy metal pollution (Cd, Cr, Ni, Pb, Zn, and As) in 50 roadside dust samples from urb...
